Having practiced law since 1991, family law has been my focus for the vast majority of that time, After I started, I quickly came to believe that there had to be a better way for people to terminate their marriage than through litigation and having a judge decide things that impacted their lives and that they should be able to decide. When I discovered the collaborative family law process in 2002, I found that better way. The collaborative family law process offers a team approach to help people make the decisions required for the transition of terminating their marriage, whether with children or without.  However, my goals with my clients in every case, whether collaborative family law or otherwise, are (1) to ensure they have the information needed to make informed decisions and (2) to guide them through their marriage termination process as efficiently as possible.
